RENEWABLE TIDAL ENERGY
Converting clean, sustainable and secure energy from the natural power of our oceans
Normandie Hydroliennes (NH) is a leading developer of tidal energy projects in France, with the objective of promoting the commercial deployment of the marine renewables sector to enrich the energy mix.
Normandie Hydroliennes (NH) is currently developing its first tidal turbine pilot array - Project NH1, in the Raz Blanchard, one of the most powerful tidal sites in the world. The project is to generate clean, sustainable and electricity from the natural, predictable energy of ocean currents.

Our Mission
Supplying clean, sustainable energy to the world of tomorrow.
Normandie Hydroliennes (NH) aims to foster the commercial deployment of the marine renewable energy sector to enrich the energy mix, supplying the nation with clean, competitive energy from a sustainable and viable natural resource, and adopting best quality technology.
Our NH1 Project
Normandie Hydroliennes (NH) is developing its first tidal turbine pilot farm – Project NH1 in the Raz Blanchard; using one of the worlds most powerful natural sources of tidal energy to supply clean, sustainable and secure electricity to the nation.
As part of the French and European strategy to accelerate “decarbonisation”, our NH1 project will promote the commercial deployment of the French marine renewable energy sector, delivering significant economic, environmental and social benefits.
Our technology
Normandie Hydroliennes (NH) is partnered with Proteus Marine Renewables (Proteus MR), a committed and recognised champion of the tidal energy sector.
Normandie Hydroliennes (NH) will operate the new Proteus AR series turbines, which uses advanced and high performance systems based on proven, reliable and innovative technology. Built in France, the AR3000 turbine will be the largest and most powerful single axis turbine ever produced. The fully submerged subsea turbines will cause no visual impact and be installed in harmony with the natural environment.
